Class Requirements

Class Requirements: Spanish I, Spanish  2, Spanish 3, and AP Spanish  Literature

Learning a foreign language in a global society is an asset that will help you in any career you may pursue in the future. Like mathematics, learning a foreign language builds upon itself, and will be fast paced. If you are unsure about a concept, don’t wait to ask! Help is always available, but it is up to you to ask.

Ø      Be proactive: an active learner who takes notes in class, listens, asks questions when unclear

Ø      Be responsible: write down homework assignments posted on the upper right hand side of the white board, complete homework, turn it in on time, complete make up work after an absence

Ø      Be accountable: don’t make excuses, don’t blame teachers, computers, or parents, listen in class, study for tests. Homework

  • To receive full credit for homework, it must be stamped in the beginning of class period.
  • If a student is late to class, he/she will only receive half credit if the homework is complete.
  • All homework assignments will be collected at the end of the quarter.

Absences

  • If you were here when the homework was assigned, it must be turned in the day you return to class.
  • If you were absent when the homework was assigned you have three days to turn in the assignment.
  • You are responsible for notes during the time of your absence. You can either come to us or a classmate.
  • Missed tests must be made up at a time arranged with the teacher. If you don’t show up, it will become a zero, and cannot be made up.

Materials

  • You must bring your workbook, spiral notebook or binder, and textbook every day.
  • Failure to bring the text, spiral or workbook to class will result in loss of participation/class points.

Tardies

  • Tardies will always result in loss of class participation points.
  • Students will not receive full credit for homework when tardy to class.
  • On the fifth   tardy student will be referred to the vice principal’s office.
