Parent Ed: Screenagers Tues Oct 17 7pm Theater

Wilcox PTSA brings you another exciting Parent Education opportunity!

Tuesday Oct 17 from 7-8:30pm

Award Winning Screenagers Documentary

Screenagers is a documentary created by a physician based on personal observations of her own family

and concerns from a medical and physiological perspective on brain development and the overall impacts on society.

If you have ever had the following questions, then you should attend this program:

~Are you watching your kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a 6 second attention span?

~How many of you feel the frustration of wanting time with your child but competing with screen time and social media ?

~What is the impact of this drug-like /Dopamine effect on development of the teenage brain?

~How do Social Media Pressures affect our relationships?

~Video game addiction and violence... Are we at risk?

~How do we as families find balance in all this?

The film viewing will be followed by two separate discussions:

One for students led by Sharon Kwan, Wilcox Wellness Counselor

& one for parents, led by Betty Sustaita, Wilcox Community Health Outreach Worker.

This is a free event! Please bring your students! Open to SCUSD and the community!

Location: Wilcox HS Theater at 3250 Monroe St. Santa Clara
