Santa Clara Valley Athletics League

Wilcox High School Athletic teams all compete in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League - the league consist of 14 schools from around the area. Cupertino, Fremont, Gunn, Homestaed, Los Altos, Los Gatos, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Milpitas, Monta Vista, Santa Clara, Saratoga, and Wilcox.

The league is separated into two divisions - one is a power division (DeAnza) and a non power division (El Camino). Various sports teams at Wilcox compete in either the DeAnza or El Camino divisions based on their level of overall play. If a team competes in the El Camino division they can move into the more powerful deAnza division by winning the El Camino championship. In addition a team that competes in the DeAnza division can move down to the El Camino by coming in last place in the DeAnza division. The DeAnza division is considered one of the more competitive divisions in our section the Central Coast Section. It is considered an A division. The El Camino is usually classified as a B division.
