Best Buddies

Best Buddies is a worldwide organization founded by Anthony Shriver. The goal is to pair a general education peer with a student in special education for a mutually-enriching friendship. The peer buddy, or gen. ed. peer has a once-a-week commitment to meet with his/her buddy. Buddy Pairs spend time together during school and in the community, enjoying leisure activities such as bowling, watching movies and miniature golfing.
