A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF:
i grew up in the East Bay where i enjoyed taking several years of sewing and homemaking classes (that's what they called them then) in high school and making nearly all my own clothes. And so, I headed off to San Jose State University to earn a B.A. in Home Economics with an emphasis in secondary education. After graduation, I got married, had 3 sons, and did a lot of volunteer work at my children's school and in my community. For several years I was a volunteer and a staff member for YWCA Family Life Education Program, planning and facilitating parenting classes. All the while, I sewed for family, friends, and others -- making skating costumes, a wedding dress, clothing for men, women and children, and lots of home decor items. Later on, I returned to college and earned an M.A. in Education from San Jose State University, a teaching credential from National University, and began my high school teaching career. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, sons, 2 dogs, and my 4 grandchildren, as well as gardening, sewing, crafting, and and working on my 100-year old house.
