William Purvis IV community Service Scholarship Award

The Santa Clara Firefighters Foundatin is offering a college scholarship to graduating seniors in memory of William (Bill) Purvis IV. Established in 2007

Bill was very active in the Santa Clara community as an individual, as a Santa Clara Volunteer Reserve Firefighter for ten (10) years and then as a paid professional firefighter.  Bill was devoted to his family, friends, the fire service and to his community.  It is because of his dedication that we offer this scholarship in his honor.

The award for schoo year 11/12 will be in the amount of $1,000.00 and will be based, mainly, on community servicer performed during the student's time in high school.  All applications will need to be completed and submitted to the counseling office by May 04, 2012.  The awarding committe will read all applicaions and make their selelction soon after. 

The Santa Clara Firefighters Foundation is a part of the Santa Clara Firefighters Local 1171.  This Foundation is fully authorized, non-profit charitable organization 501 (C) (3) that is committed to helping tose in need within the Counties of Santa Clara and Santa Cruz and to the Santa Clar Unified School District.
